USA Basketball World Basketball Festival

Don’t miss the inaugural World Basketball Festival, an unprecedented four-day celebration of the performance and culture of basketball featuring the National Basketball Teams from Brazil, China, France, Puerto Rico and the United States, in New York City from August 12-15.

The Festival — hosted by Nike, Jordan and Converse — will officially begin on August 12th at Radio City Music Hall with the Nike World Basketball Festival Tip-Off featuring finalists for the 2010 USA Basketball Men’s World Championship Team. This showcase of international games will culminate in a surprise musical performance.

Training and scrimmages by some of the National Teams, as well as fan activities and grassroots basketball, will be held at Rucker Park, August 13th and 14th. The Festival will conclude on August 15th with an international doubleheader, as part of the Global Community Cup, at Madison Square Garden: USA Basketball will play France followed by China taking on Puerto Rico.

• The USA Basketball Men’s National Team will face France at 1 p.m. EDT in the first game of the single-admission doubleheader, while China will meet Puerto Rico at 3:30 p.m. EDT in the second contest.
