On the game tonight:
Now that we are done playing Spain, I can say that the other two games we played against them were the anomalies and should not have been seven or eight point games.
On advancing to the gold medal game:
Sweden is an excellent basketball team, and they didn't get to the gold medal game by accident. Some people kind of think they are the cinderalla of this tournament, but Sweden has methodically and efficiently taken out their opponents.
We absolutely are excited about reaching the gold medal game, but at the same time, as a coach you know the work is not done until you are on the plane ride home. We really want to try to give the women's side of USA Basketball a trifecta. The U21s won gold in Moscow, the Pan Am team won gold in Brazil and now it's our turn. We reall have a lot of work to do to get that done tomorrow.

On the game:
We knew exactly what their game was going to be. After watching two sessions of film and their game yesterday, we knew it was going to be fast-paced, and if they get down, they are never out. I was mentally prepared tonight, and so was the team.
After playing them three times, we knew what we needed to do. We didn't feel like the first two games should have been close.
We came out strong after halftime, because we knew Spain was capable of coming back on us. We couldn't celebrate early, and we needed to put the game out of reach.
On advancing to the gold medal game:
I'm excited about getting to the gold medal game and it feels good, but I don't want to celebrate unitl we win. If we play our game and we play as a team, then we can beat anybody.

There was a lot of hype about tonight's game. It was a semifinal game to get to the gold and a rematch with Spain, and we just came out with tons of energy. We started really strong and really took it away in the start of the second half.
On advancing to the gold medal game:
We're all really excited. This has been a really long month. We've put in so much time and effort as a team, and the payoff is finally here. We are close to playing to our potential. We're not quite there, but we have one more game, so we will see.

We just wanted to take it to Spain tonight and leave nothing behind. And I think we did that after halftime.

On advancing to the gold medal game:
Going to the gold medal game feels great. After some of our starters subbed out and we were sitting on the bench watching the our team play. We were just excited to see how much we were up by and knowing we were going to the gold medal game. That's something we've been working towards since tryouts in May in Colorado Springs.
Each game we keep getting better. I think this is the perfect setup for us. Sweden has been playing really well and handling their business. It will be a great championship mathcup.

I think we intense tonight. We didn't give them free points early on in the game by fouling, and we limited second-shot opportunities. We were ready to play.
On advancing to the gold medal game:
We're all tired, but the excitement helps you push through that. We are looking forward to playing Sweden tomorrow and getting the gold.
