This was the most physical and the fastest team we've played, and their game was similar to ours. They have to be the toughest team we've faced so far.
We were focused for the game, but I think we were expecting to be able to just take off from the start, and we didn't. Alba played strong and we had some trouble adjusting to her.

Whatever helps the team I'm comfortable with. If that takes me getting the energy flowing, that's fine with me. Whether I'm starting or coming off the bench I know I have to be strong down low.
On the team:
I think both our gaurds and posts are much stronger and faster than the other teams, and we should be dominating. It's just a matter of playing our game.

Tonight was definetely a wake-up call. We learned we can't just walk into a gym and expect to beat people by 50 points every time just because we have U-S-A across our chest. We learned we will have to work harder for our all wins from this point on.
It was almost more dissapointing that satisfying tonight because we can play so much better than that. Especially as a team together on defense, we need to start with that. We have enough talent that our offense will come.
Towards the end tonight, we started to realize we had to get Jantel the ball. She was unstoppable. But we need to start figuring that stuff out earlier. And fouls. Fouls killed us the whole game tonight.

I feel good. I'm glad we won--that's the main focus. Whatever we have to do to win, even if that means I need to step up. I never once thought we were going to loose. There was no doubt in my mind.

On tonight's game:
Jantel was huge for us. When nothing else was working, she was able to score at will.
On playing Slovakia tomorrow:
This is going to be a packed house tomorrow. We are against the home team, and whoever wins will get the number one seed into the quarterfinals. It's going to be intense. This game was good for us to help us prepare.
On being in foul trouble:
Initially I was really upset with myself for comitting the two dumb fouls right at the end of the half, but I had to put it aside and focus on the second half. We all made mistakes the first half, and I just needed to support my team.

I had been on the bench for a while because I had gotten into foul trouble early. When I came in, I knew any shot had to be a good shot and any pass had to be a good pass. I just focused on making good decisions. I was wide open, so I just took the shot.
I think we grew a lot in this game. It was the first close game we've had in this tournament and we finished it. Know we know we can stay up in close games and stay focused in blowouts.
We have a hard game against Slovakia tomorrow because we will be on their home court. We thought the crowd was big tonight, it will be much bigger and louder tomorrow.

Spain came out totally ready to play. They are a great basketball team and I respect them fully.
I'm just trying to stay focused and disciplined for the team. It's always a team effort, and we're starting to figure out how much stronger we are when we all come together instead of trying to do our own thing.
I felt like every time I penetrated, she was wide open. Nobody could stop her tonight. I felt way more confident tonight because I knew even if I didn't have the open look, I could find a post player or kick it back to a guard for a good look.
I felt like we grew a lot with playing China, but we didn't really have the chance to see that until we had a tough game like tonight.
