USA Head Coach Doug Bruno
On tonight's game:
It's just about trying to get better technically on the fly and just bringing everything together. I do think we are getting better technically. In this situation, with very little practice time, the game sometimes becomes the practice floor.

Korea was a tought matchup for us. I chose not to substitute down to their size. We have superior size advantage over them, and if we had choosen to substitute down to their size, I think we would have done a better job of defending some of their perimeter drives and kicks. But becuase they were smaller, we had an advantage with our post play inside. I wanted our big people to have to play against quick, slashing guards.

On playing Spain tomorrow:
Now we begin the games against the best teams in the tournament, against Spain and Slovakia and then whoever comes after those two. Our competition level becomes the best in the tournament. We are not only going to have to be ready to play physicall and emotionally, we are going to have to be ready to play technically as well.

On giving up 70 points:
Obviously you don't want to give 70 points, but it's tought to be a running team and ratchet it down on the defensive end as well. In the ideal world you'd like to give up 50 points and score 100.

Vicki Baugh
On the game against Korea:
I felt like we came out strong tonight, but not really defensively. I just think our heads weren't where they needed to be on defense. I don't think we expected them to be that fast. They gave us a little bit of a surprise. Playing defense against them was different than all the other teams we've faced.

I think we executed about half the game. We let them score a lot on the free throw line and gave them a lot of free points. We haven't played a team that fast yet, and it was a challenge to adjust. We have to work on fouling against quick teams like that.

On having eight players in double figures:
I think we have the chemistry now as a team that we know everyone's style of play. I think that's why everyone is able to score, because we are all comfortable on the court with our roles and each other.

On tomorrow's game with Spain:
I'm definitely pumped up for Spain tomorrow. We want them back. The first time we played them in the exhibition tournament in the Canary Islands, their best player didn't play, the officials had an impact on the game and they have brought new players with them for this tournament that they didn't have before. I feel like we have a wake-up call to give them.

Angie Bjorklund
On her shooting:
I feel like my shot was dropping a little better this game. As I start getting my shots from the flow of the offense more and more, I think they'll drop even more. And when I did get it from an assists or through the flow of the offense, I felt more confident too.

On second round competition:
I think there is a sense of urgency in the second round, from all the teams and coaches as well. We're getting closer and closer to the end.

On tomorrow's game with Spain:
Spain has their best player back, and we are a whole new team, so I'm excited to see what happens.

Jantel Lavender
On tonight's game:
Getting outrebounded in our last game, just made us go after the ball even harder tonight. We knew we were bigger and we were motivated. Sometimes there were two of us on the ball at the same time.

We have to finish under that basket because the games are going to get tougher and tougher, and all that takes is a little more focus.

Melissa Lechlitner
On the game tonight:
I think there were a lot of gaps and openings tonight to drive, and I got to the free throw line a lot. The gaps created open shots because we were able to penetrate and kick, and it's easier to make shots when the looks are good like that.

After giving up as many points we did, I'm sure we are going to be focusing on defense in our shoot around tomorrow.

On playing Spain tomorrow:
We need to stay focused and come out with the same energy and enthusiasm as we had tonight. We already played Spain once in exhibition, and it's hard to beat a team twice. We're playing pretty well, but we need to tighten up defensively and in our rebounding.

On her role:
For me personally, I'm just trying to be a consistent leader, vocally as well. As a point guard, I shouldn't have many turnovers and my assists need to be up. I'm focusing on not having turnovers while we are playing a fast-paced game, and that will definetely help the team.

Maya Moore
On tonight's game:
When you get to the second round, of course the competition gets tougher. Korea had a lot of good shooters and was a high energy team. It was a different look for us, and I'm really proud of the way we handled it.

Jasmine Thomas
On tonight's game:
Our two-three zone all depends on how we mathcup with the other team, and they had a lot of three points shooters, so we struggled a little bit. But we are getting better, and I think our zone will be something we can pull out towards the end of this.

Krystal Thomas
On tonight's game:
Even though we are tall, we are athletic, and we got out on the perimeter and had to defend. And especially with Allyssa back in the paint, you knew if you got beat she'd block the shot.

On the team:
It's a great feeling to know that whatever post player is on the floor, we can pretty much lock up any player.

Monica Wright
On having eight players in double figures:
The team basically was put together in part because of scoring ability, and we all have the ability to score. We've come a long way when it comes to sharing the ball and that's a clear sign of how well we've developed.
