All 135 players will be competing for 12 roster spots on the 2013 USA Basketball Women's U16 National Team.

Including 135 athletes and featuring some of the nation’s best, young talent, USA Basketball today announced the roster of athletes participating in the 2013 USA Basketball Women’s U16 National Team Trials that will be held May 23-27 at the U.S. Olympic Training Center (USOTC) in Colorado Springs, Colo.

In addition to 32 athletes invited by the USA Basketball Women’s Developmental National Team Committee, USA Basketball conducted an open application process that resulted in 103 applicant athletes.

“We have had a tremendous response from throughout the country, and we are looking forward to an incredible trials for the U16 national team,” said Carol Callan, USA Basketball Women's National Team Director and non-voting chair of the USA Basektball Women's Developmental National Team Committee. “On top of selecting a 12-member roster, this weekend will be about learning and helping to further develop these young basketball players.”

Trials will be used to select the 12-member roster that will represent the USA in the 2013 FIBA Americas U16 Championship, which will be played June 19-23 in Cancun, Mexico.
