Four high school and AAU coaches from around the country, LaDreda Akins (Haines City H.S., Haines City, Fla./Florida’s Finest AAU), Terri Bamford (LaJolla Country Day, La Jolla, Calif./Waves AAU), Kimberly Davis-Powell (Essence Girls Basketball AAU, Tallahassee, Fla.) and Vanessa Nygaard (Windward School, Los Angeles, Calif.), today were named as court coaches for the 2013 USA Basketball Women’s U16 National Team Trials that will be held May 23-27 at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo. The USA Basketball Women’s Developmental National Team Committee selected the court coaches.

During trials, the four court coaches will assist the women’s U16 coaching staff, which will be lead by Sue Phillips, head coach at Archbishop Mitty High School (San Jose, Calif.) and for the San Jose Cagers AAU program in California, and assistant coaches Mary Coyle Klinger (Rutgers Preparatory School, Somerset, N.J.) and Brian Robinson (Bishop McGuinness H.S., Kernersville, N.C./Stealers AAU).
