USA Women's Pan American Games Team Hits The Practice Court
Oct. 15, 2011 • Houston, Texas
From all across the country, the 2011 USA Women's Pan American Games Team members gathered in Houston, Texas, on Saturday to begin their quest to defend the USA's 2007 Pan American Games gold medal.
The team will have just six days to prepare before facing Argentina in its first game on Oct. 21 in Guadalajara, Mexico, and there is obviously no time to waste. Today's practice session was focused and intense, but you don't have to take our word for it.
Hear from USA head coach Ceal Barry, forward Shante Evans (Hofstra/West Chester, Pa.), guard Tavelyn James (Eastern Michigan/Detroit, Mich.) and center Avery Warley (Liberty/Washington, D.C.) after the first practice.
