It's amazing the things you can find out about a person in five minutes. For instance, Kia Vaughn, a 6-4 center from Rutgers, is quite proud of her name. It's not a nickname for anything, it's straight up Kia. And that stands for Killer Instinct Always. She's also afraid of clowns – anything in a costume, really. So you can imagine how she feels when Halloween rolls around! We found out a little bit more about the woman who aided the Scarlet Knights this past season to a 27-9 slate and the Big East Tournament crown. She went on from there to propel her squad into the Final Four, earning All-Greensboro Region accolades in the process, and then was named to the 2007 All-Final Four squad. Despite falling one game short of claiming the NCAA title, Kia remains positive about her team's success this year. She also credits some of her success to the time spent on the 2006 USA Basketball U20 National Team last summer and the experience gained by going up against Courtney Paris, a member of the 2007-08 USA Basketball Women's Senior National Team.
