4. Brazil (Americas Zone #1)
5. China (Asia Zone #1)
6. Japan (Asia Zone #2)
7. South Korea (Asia Zone #3)
8. Russia (European Zone #1)
9. Czech Republic (European Zone #2)
10. Spain (European Zone #3)
11. Australia (Oceania Zone #1)
12. New Zealand (Oceania Zone #2)

2003 FIBA Zone Olympics Qualifying Tournaments:
FIBA AFRICA: December 19-27, 2003, 18th African Championship for Women, in Maputo, Mozambique (Nigeria earned the one qualifying berth).

FIBA AMERICAS: September 17-21, Tournament of the Americas for Women, in Culiacan, Mexico (Brazil earned the one qualifying berth).

FIBA ASIA: January 13-19, 2003, 20th Asian Championship for Women in Sendai, Japan (China, Japan and South Korea earned three qualifying berths after finishing in that order in the FIBA-Asia Championship).

FIBA EUROPE: September 14-25, 2003, 29th European Championship for Women, Athens, Greece (Russia, the Czech Republic and Spain earned three qualifying berths after finishing in that order at the FIBA Europe tournament.).

FIBA OCEANIA: September 14–16, 2003 in Devonport, Australia (Australia and New Zealand earned the two qualifying berths after Australia bested New Zealand
69-55 and 84-61 in the best of three series).
