Jake Layman wrapped up his prep career as the all-time leading scorer at King Phillip Regional High School in Massachusetts with 1,752 career points, and, impressively, he averaged a double-double of 20.6 points and 12.9 rebounds per game over his four years there. After tallying 26.5 points and 16.0 rebounds per game as a senior in 2011-12, Layman earned ESPN Boston Mr. Basketball for the state of Massachusetts, and he was named MVP of the Hockomock League for a second consecutive time. Twenty-three players are on the court this week at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo., vying for one of 12 roster spots on the 2012 USA Basketball Men's U18 National Team. All 23 arrived with accolades and awards to their credit, and Ryan Arcidiacono of Neshaminy High School in Pennsylvania is no different. What is different about Arcidiacono, however, is that his accolades stopped after the 2010-11 season -- the last season he played as a high school athlete.
