USA U18 Team Takes a Tour of DC
On Sunday morning USA U18 National Team head coach Bob McKillop gave the guys the opportunity to sleep in and then they got an even better treat - a tour of some of Washington's top landmarks. The 14 USA team finalists were guided on the tour by long-time American University professor, Edward Smith, who spent stints during his career as a speech writer for President Jimmy Carter and also wrote speeches for Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas prior to Thomas' appointment to the highest court in the land. The guys saw the Capitol, Library of Congress, Washington Monument, World War II Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, Jefferson Memorial and the White House. We were on hand to document the day.
