In 2010 FIBA will host the first U17 World Championship, with the participating teams coming from the 2009 FIBA zone U16 championships. The 2009 USA Men's U16 National Team will vie for a spot in the 2010 U17 Worlds at the 2009 FIBA Americas Championship,

2010 FIBA U17 World Championship for Men Information

In 2010 FIBA will host the first U17 World Championship, with the participating teams coming from the 2009 FIBA zone U16 championships. The 2009 USA Men's U16 National Team will vie for a spot in the 2010 U17 Worlds at the 2009 FIBA Americas Championship, slated to be held June 17-21 in Mendoza, Argentina.
