Procedure For Media Credentialing For 2012 U.S. Olympic Men's And Women's Team Practices

For media interested in being credentialed to attend the men's and/or women's basketball team practices during the 2012 London Olympic Games, the following procedure must be followed.

Please read the USOC's News Access Guidelines - each media organization will be responsible for complying with these conditions.

To apply to attend one (or more) of the USA practices during the Olympics at the University of East London (Docklands), media should submit their request at least 24 hours in advance of the practice to the following email address: UELMedia@usoc.org. Please be sure to indicate if your request is to attend a men's or women's practice(s). Once approved (you'll be advised by an email), media can pick up their day passes as they enter the UEL campus. If you would like to be accredited for multiple days, you should indicate which days (and whether men's or women's practices) you wish to attend in your email and you'll be set for those days too.

Please note that the men's and women's practice schedules are always tentative and subject to change on short notice. Media are encouraged to confirm practices by checking schedule links on www.usabaslketball.com. Interviews with U.S. Olympic Men's Basketball Team members (players and coaches) during days the team conducts a practice will be held for approximately 20 minutesbefore the start of practice. Media will also be allowed to view (photograph and video) during approximately the first 20 minutes of practice. To insure access to the media availability, it is recommended that media plan to arrive at least 30 minutes before the scheduled start of practice.

Interviews with U.S. Olympic Women's Basketball Team members (players and coaches) during days the team conducts a practice will be held for approximately 20 minutes after the conclusion of practice. Media will also be allowed to view (photograph and video) during approximately the final 20 minutes of practice. To insure access to the media availability, it is recommended that media plan to arrive early.
