Shoulder Injury Forces Blake Griffin To Withdraw From USA Basketball National Team Mini-Camp

USA Basketball was informed today that Blake Griffin (Los Angeles Clippers / University of Oklahoma) will not attend the USA National Team mini-camp because of a strain to his right shoulder which he incurred in the third game of the Clippers' five game Las Vegas Summer League schedule last week. The Los Angeles Clippers' rookie forward will spend the next three to four weeks resting the shoulder while maintaining his normal lower body training and conditioning regimen, and will be further evaluated regularly.

The USA Basketball Men's National Team mini-camp will feature practice sessions on July 23 and July 24 (12:15-2:30 p.m. PDT) at Valley High School, and the mini-camp will be capped by the USA Basketball Showcase, a Blue-White intra-squad game, on Saturday, July 25, 8 p.m. (PDT) at the Thomas & Mack Center on the campus of UNLV.
