  • Will play for his first USA team with the 2008 USA Junior National Select Team.

Honors

  • Selected as a 2008 McDonald's All-American, recorded 10 points for the West Team, which lost to the East 107-102 on March 26 in Milwaukee, Wis.
  • Invited to play in the 2008 Jordan Brand Classic on April 19 at Madison Square Garden in New York.
  • Selected to the Parade Magazine All-America first team.
  • Named to the Long Beach Press-Telegram’s Best in the West first team.
  • Shared the 2008 Southern California Interscholastic Basketball Coaches Association I-AA Player of the Year honor.
  • Named MVP of his conference and to the all-state team in 2008.
  • In 2007, named to the Los Angeles Times first team
  • Selected to the All-Moore League first team in 2006 and 2007.

High School Notes

  • Has played four varsity seasons at Compton High School (Calif.).
  • Recorded 49 points, 17 rebounds, six assists and four steals against Richard Gahr High School (Calif.) in 2007-08.
  • As a senior in 2007-08, helped Compton to a 26-6 record, a Moore League title and the CIF Division IAA Southern Section quarterfinals; averaged 29.2 ppg, 7.9 rpg., 3.9 apg. and 3.0 spg., while shooting 82.0 percent from the free throw line.
  • Averaged 24.3 ppg., 8.1 rpg., 4.0 apg. and 3.0 spg., 4.0 bpg. as a junior in 2006-07 to lead Compton to a 16-15 record.
  • Helped Compton to a 14-16 record in 2005-06 and averaged 22.6 ppg., 8.4 rpg., 5.0 apg., 4.9 spg. and 4.0 bpg.
  • As a freshman in 2004-05, helped Compton to a 16-15 record and averaged 26.1 ppg., 8.4 rpg., 4.3 apg., 3.0 spg. and 2.0 bpg.
  • Attended the 2007 LeBron James Skills Academy, the Kobe Bryant “Wing” Camp and the NBA Players Association Camp.
