The 2009 Men's U19 World Championship Team has been training in Colorado Springs, Colo., since the team was named on June 18. They will depart for New Zealand on June 25 where they will continue to train until the World Championship begins on July 2.

University of Pittsburgh Head Coach Jamie Dixon is taking on his first assignment with USA Basketball. In 2009, Dixon led Pittsburgh to a 31-5 overall record, a 15-3 mark in the Big East Conference and earned the school's first ever No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament and led the Panthers to the NCAA East Regional Final. Dixon, who was named the 2009 Naismith Men's College Basketball Coach of the Year, has amassed a NCAA Division I record for the most victories after six seasons as a head coach with 163.
