  • Gold Medals: 2010 FIBA U17 World Championship, 2009 FIBA Americas U16 Championship.
  • Named as a finalist for the 2011 USA Basketball U19 World Championship Team on May 25, 2011.
  • Member of the 2010 USA U17 World Championship Team that posted a perfect 8-0 record in the inaugural FIBA U17 World Championship; started one game and averaged 7.2 ppg. and 2.6 rpg.
  • Helped the U.S. earn a 2-1 record to capture a pre-U17 World Championship tournament title in Spain against U17 national teams from Australia, Canada and Spain.

  • Has played for the AAU Philly Triple Threat, the New York Gauchos and the Mid-Atlantic Elite.

  • Daughter of Yolanda Laney; has one brother, Shakaris.
  • Is a member of school's math honor roll.
  • Betnijah has signed to play at Rutgers for C. Vivian Stringer, who coached Betnijah’s All-American mom, Yolanda Laney, at Cheney State. They advanced to a pair of NCAA Final Fours, and the very first NCAA Tournament title game in 1982.
  • Volunteered locally as an elementary school motivational speaker and a youth basketball instructor.
