  • Has signed a National Letter of Intent to attend and play for Syracuse University in 2012-13.

Honors

  • Participated in the 2012 Jordan Brand Classic on April 14 in Charlotte, N.C., scoring 10 points in 19 minutes.
  • Also participated in the 2012 All-American Championship on April 1 in New Orleans, La. and scored eight points in 21 minutes.
  • Awarded MVP honors for his performance in the Alhambra Catholic Invitational Tournament. In the championship game, scored a season-high 23 points and had 11 rebounds to lead DeMatha to the title.
  • Selected All-Met fourth team by the Washington Post in 2012.
  • Named All-Washington Catholic Athletic Conference (WCAC) first team in 2012.
  • During his senior season was named MVP of the National High School Hoops Festival and Most Outstanding Player of The Holiday Classic.

  • Played with fellow 2012 U18 training camp invitee James Robinson for 2012 Nike Hoop Summit assistant coach Mike Jones at DeMatha Catholic High School in Hyattsville, Md.
  • As a senior in 2011-12, averaged 12.6 ppg. to lead his team to a 30-6 record and runner-up finish in the WCAC and the Alhambra Catholic Invitational Tournament title.
  • Played AAU for Team Takeover, which finished the 2011 EYBL regular season 15-0 and captured the inaugural EYBL title in the summer of 2010.

Personal

  • Born March 12, 1994 in Portland, Ore. to parents Beverly and Harvey Grant.
  • Father, Harvey Grant, played 12 seasons in the NBA and was the No. 12 overall pick in the 1988 NBA Draft after a collegiate career at Clemson University and the University of Oklahoma.
  • Uncle, Horace Grant (Harvey’s twin brother), played 17 seasons in the NBA and won four NBA  championships (three with the Chicago Bulls, two with the Los Angeles Lakers).
  • Older brother Jerai (22) played basketball at Clemson and older brother Jerian (19) currently plays at Notre Dame University. Also has a younger brother, Jaelin (15).
